Product Description

87X144 Plastilease 275 Mold Release is a fast-drying, room temperature mold release for metal molds. Designed to withstand high heat (600° - 700° F), it is ideally suited for epoxy and polyester resins and high performance composite systems. Applies easily; once applied, it forms a very thin film that bonds to metal and produces a semi-permanent type release. Provides quick, easy release of molded parts.

Application

Before applying 87X144 Plastilease 275 it is important to prepare the metal mold by cleaning the mold surface and removing all wax, oil or silicones that may be on the mold. After cleaning, apply the mold release by spray or hand wiping. Allow several minutes for solvent evaporation before use. Resin curing temperatures in the 600° to 700° F. range are acceptable. To renew the release surface as it gradually wears off, simply re-coat.
